What this site is, and is not

Disclaimer

We are a private firm. We are not a government department, we are not a visa application centre, and we are not the people who decide your application. This page sets out the limits of what is on this site and of what we can do.

We are not a government service

The Visa Tales is a private immigration consultancy. We are not IRCC, not a visa application centre, not an embassy or consulate, and not connected to any government in any country.

We cannot issue a visa, a permit or a passport, and neither can anyone else who offers to. Every application is decided by an officer of the country you applied to, under the rules in force on the day they open your file. What a consultancy sells is the preparation and, where it is licensed to, the representation. Never the decision.

The passport work we do is document preparation and appointment booking for an Indian government process. Passport Seva issues the passport, on its own timeline, and nothing on those pages should be read as us having a hand in that.

What our licence covers, and where it stops

Canadian immigration work is done by Jay Sharma under RCIC licence R710507. A licence belongs to a person rather than to a firm or a signboard, which is why you can look the number up yourself on the College's public register.

For Canada, the licence lets us represent you before IRCC. For the other 40+ countries we prepare and check your application, and the authority there decides it. We keep the two apart in writing because the difference is a legal one.

It also stops at the Federal Court, where only a lawyer may act. Who is allowed to represent you, and where each authority ends, is set out on its own page.

Dates, and what a date on a page means

Immigration rules change without notice, sometimes overnight. Every page here that states a fee, a cut-off, a processing time or a rule carries the date a person last checked it against the official source, and links that source.

That date is not a promise the page is right today. It is a promise that it was right on the day it says, and that a person rather than a script confirmed it. Before you act on a number from this site, open the official page we link beside it and check the number there. If the two disagree, the official one wins and we would like to know.

What our numbers and reviews mean

118+ cases handled since 2021 is a count of files, not a success rate. We publish no approval percentage, because nobody can verify one and every firm that quotes a figure quotes a flattering one.

The reviews on this site are other people's words about their own applications, published as they wrote them. Somebody else's outcome tells you very little about yours, which depends on your documents, your history and the officer who opens the file.

Where this comes from

The rules quoted on this page are somebody else's, not ours. These are the pages to check if one of them has since moved.

This page was last updated on 31 August 2026. When we change it we change that date, and the version you agreed to is the one that was published on the day you wrote to us. To ask about anything on it, email hello@thevisatales.com or call +91 70417 36376.
