Work visa consultant in Ahmedabad, and what we will not do

We file work permit applications. We do not find you the job, and we cannot be paid to find you one, because recruiting Indians for work abroad is a licensed business and we do not hold that licence. Everyone on this search result implies otherwise.

Read and checked by Jay Sharma, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant R710507, licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Figures verified 1 September 2026. Every rule on this page is cited to the authority that makes it: MEA for the Emigration Act, IRCC for Canadian employer obligations.

The short answer

A work visa consultant prepares and files your application after an employer has offered you work. Finding you that employer is recruitment, which under the Emigration Act, 1983 requires a Registration Certificate from the Protector General of Emigrants, and this firm holds no such certificate. We file work permits for more than 40 countries, Canada under RCIC licence R710507, from an office on the SG Highway in Ahmedabad. If a consultant in this city offers you a job offer for a fee, that is the thing to walk away from.

A work permit follows a real job, not the other way round

Every work permit system starts from the same place: an employer who wants to hire you, and a government that checks whether hiring you is allowed. The application is the last step, not the first. That is why no consultant can sell you the outcome, and why the ones who imply they can are describing a transaction that does not exist.

What a consultant can genuinely do is everything around that job: read the offer against the rules before you accept it, work out which permit stream it falls under, assemble the evidence that stands up, and file it. Those are real and they are worth paying for. None of them is the job itself.

Why we do not find you the job

Recruiting Indians for work abroad is a licensed business. Under the Emigration Act, 1983, nobody may carry on the business of a recruiting agent without a Registration Certificate issued by the Protector General of Emigrants. We hold no such certificate, so we do not recruit, we do not broker jobs, and we take no fee from anyone for finding you work. We are immigration consultants. The visa file is the whole of our job.

Read that twice if you have been shopping around Ahmedabad, because it reframes most of what you will have been told. A firm that offers to arrange employment abroad for a fee is either registered with the Protector General of Emigrants, in which case it can show you the certificate, or it is operating outside the Act. There is no third option and there is no such thing as an authorised sub-agent.

Three things you will be told in this city

These reach our office most often, usually after money has already moved. Each is answered from the authority that makes the rule rather than from our opinion of it.

“We have an LMIA and a job offer ready for you. Eight lakh, and half up front.”
An LMIA is the employer’s application and costs the company CAD 1,000 for each worker they want to hire. IRCC says on its own page for India that the company must pay this fee. Nothing about it is yours to buy, and the worker who pays for it has bought a document that was never for sale.IRCC — Know the rules before you apply to travel to Canada from India
“This is an open work permit. No job needed, you can go and find work there.”
Open work permits are real and narrow. IRCC states that most people applying from outside Canada cannot get one, and that most applicants must apply from inside Canada. Sold from India as a first move, it is close to always a lie.IRCC — Open work permits
“Our man knows the officers at the visa office. That is what you are paying for.”
IRCC says hiring an agent will not get an application processed faster or approved, and that agents do not have special connections with Canadian visa officers. Officers follow the same steps whether you hired anybody or not.IRCC — Know the rules before you apply to travel to Canada from India

This gets worse on 3 November 2026

From that date a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation is worth up to 100 CRS points in Express Entry, and a labour market impact assessment is no longer required for it to count. An offer letter is about to be worth a great deal with no government assessment attached to it, which is the strongest incentive to sell fake ones that this system has ever produced. What actually changes on the 3rd.

How to check any of this without taking our word for it

The Ministry of External Affairs tells emigrants to do these three things. They work on us as well as on anybody else, and they take about ten minutes.

  1. 1

    Ask to see the certificate

MEA tells emigrants to ask a recruiting agent for the original Registration Certificate issued by the Protector General of Emigrants, and not to deal with them unless it is registered and still valid.

  2. 2

    Do not deal with sub-agents

Sub-agents are not permitted under the Emigration Act, 1983 and the Rules made under it. The man in the next town who knows a man in Dubai has no standing of any kind.

  3. 3

Nobody may charge you for the job itself

Where a country puts recruitment costs on the employer, as the UAE does, a demand for money from you is not a fee. It is the offence.

For a Canadian offer specifically there is a fourth check and it is ours: check the offer against the public records, which reads it against the employers who actually hold a positive labour market impact assessment and against IRCC's list of employers found non-compliant. Bring the letter in and we will run it with you, whether or not you become a client.

And before you choose anybody in this city, including us, run the ten-minute check on their licence. It is the same four steps whoever you are sitting in front of.

Common questions

Can a work visa consultant in Ahmedabad get me a job abroad?

A consultant who offers to get you the job is offering recruitment, and recruitment is a licensed business in India. Under the Emigration Act, 1983 nobody may carry on the business of a recruiting agent without a Registration Certificate issued by the Protector General of Emigrants, and sub-agents are not permitted at all. A visa consultant prepares and files your application once an employer has already offered you work; that is a different service from finding the employer. Ask anyone promising a job offer to show you their Registration Certificate, and do not deal with them if they cannot.

How much should a work visa consultant in Ahmedabad charge?

A consultant may charge you for professional work on your application, and nobody may lawfully charge you for the job itself or for an employer's labour market paperwork. A Canadian labour market impact assessment costs the employer CAD 1,000 per worker and IRCC states on its own page for India that the company must pay it. Canada's regulations also prohibit an employer recovering recruitment costs from the worker. So a quote that bundles "LMIA and job offer" into a single fee is selling you something that was never yours to buy. We quote our own fee after an assessment and charge nothing for an offer.

Which countries can The Visa Tales file a work permit for?

We prepare and file work permit applications for more than 40 countries, and we are licensed only for Canada. Canadian applications are handled under RCIC licence R710507 from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, which makes us an authorised representative who may deal with IRCC on your behalf. For every other country no equivalent licence exists for an Indian firm to hold, so we act as an experienced consultancy rather than an authorised representative, and we say which of the two you are getting before you pay anything.

Is a Canadian job offer worth more CRS points from November 2026?

Yes, and that is exactly why offer letters are about to be sold harder in Ahmedabad. From 3 November 2026 a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation is worth 100 CRS points at twice the median wage, 70 at 1.5 times and 50 at 1.3 times, and a labour market impact assessment is no longer required for the offer to count. An offer letter is therefore worth up to 100 points with no government assessment attached to it, which is a strong incentive for somebody to sell you one. Check any offer against the public records before money moves.
