Do Indian citizens need a visa to visit Vietnam? Yes. Indian nationals need an E-Visa or Visa on Arrival to visit Vietnam. The only exception is Phu Quoc island, where Indians can stay visa-free for up to 30 days on direct international flights.

How much does a Vietnam E-Visa cost for Indians? USD 25 (~₹2,400) for single entry and USD 50 (~₹4,750) for multiple entry. The fee is paid online and is non-refundable.

How long does Vietnam E-Visa processing take? 8-10 working days. During peak season (Tet, summer holidays), it can take up to 10-13 days. The approved E-Visa is emailed as a PDF.

How long can I stay in Vietnam on an E-Visa? Up to 30 days. Both single and multiple entry E-Visas are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Can I visit Phu Quoc without a visa? Yes, but only on a direct international flight to Phu Quoc. You must stay on the island for your entire trip (no mainland travel) and exit from Phu Quoc directly. Connecting via mainland Vietnamese airports does not qualify.

What is the difference between E-Visa and Visa on Arrival? E-Visa is 100% online, processed before travel, accepted at all 83 entry points (air, land, sea). Visa on Arrival requires a pre-approval letter, is only for air entry, and requires cash payment and queuing at the airport. E-Visa is faster and more convenient.

Can I extend my Vietnam E-Visa? Single-entry E-Visas cannot be extended. If you need to stay longer or re-enter, apply for a multiple-entry E-Visa ($50) or apply for a visa extension through the local immigration office in Vietnam before your current visa expires.

What are common reasons for Vietnam E-Visa rejection? The most common reasons are: blurry or incorrect passport scans, wrong photo specifications, mismatched personal details (name/passport number typos), insufficient passport validity (less than 6 months), and applying too close to travel dates.
